Susan Ronald, site Author

I was born in Los Angeles but have lived most of my adult life in Europe – six years in France and over twenty-five years in England. History and translating it into commercially viable projects has been my lifeblood for the past thirty years – be it restoration of historic buildings to alternate use or writing film scripts about historic subjects like William Shakespeare, Eleanor of Aquitaine or Tsar Nicholas II. Still, writing non-fiction books has been my primary focus since becoming a full-time writer in 2010.

My last published book, HITLER’S ART THIEF – HILDEBRAND GURLITT, THE NAZIS AND THE LOOTING OF EUROPE’S TREASURES was published in the USA on 21st September 2015. It marks a change in my focus to World War II and the looting of art. The paperback edition was published on 31st January 2017.

My next book, A DANGEROUS WOMAN – American Beauty, Noted Philanthropist, Nazi Collaborator: The Life of Florence Gould is due to be published on February 20, 2018, and plans for my book tour are underway.

My following project, again for St. Martin’s Press, is THE CONDE NAST STORY: THE MAN AND HIS EMPIRE. For information about my next book, please see Current Projects page of this website.

I’ve retained all film and TV rights to all my books, and any queries should be addressed to my agent: alexanderchoyt@aol.com, except where options have already been granted.

I am a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts and Manufacture (FRSA).
